I work with people who are finding themselves having difficulty experiencing fulfillment and meaning in their lives.  This can come about in various ways, including a loss or a change in important relationships, the loss of an aspect of life that had previously been a substantial source of meaning, changing roles and responsibilities, and/or confusion about the path towards a valued and viable future. Or, commonly, there is not even a clear answer of where this feeling has come from. Life can be complicated and messy, and it can be a challenge to find a grounded and purposeful way forward.

I work to help patients develop deeper self-understanding through honest and open exploration of their experience and motivations, allowing for “putting the pieces together” in a coherent and meaningful way.  Treatment often involves coming to notice problematic patterns that seem to get in the way of the person you want to be, the relationships you want to have, and/or the life you want to live. As you grow in awareness and understanding of these patterns, you are more able to create the space and insight necessary to develop new patterns and gain more freedom in action.
